Owner Unknown has launched a free digital mini-game that’s perfect for escape game fans. The bite-size mystery acts as a teaser/prequel to the company’s main series of games. Don’t let the fact that it is free put you off! You’ll get 20-30 minutes of quality gameplay that involves solving puzzles and interacting with a character on WhatsApp. I personally enjoyed it a lot and if the quality is an indication of what is to come in the full games, I am even more excited than before.
The company’s catalogue was created for escape room fans in the Netherlands. It includes three play-at-home escape rooms that combine physical components and online detective work. Currently, these games only exist in Dutch, however, a recent successful Kickstarter campaign means they are being translated into English and German. While backers won’t receive their games until next year, this fun mini-game gives a taster of things to come.
